Cork County Manager: Martin Riordan

Martin Riordan took up the position of Cork County Manager on February 19th, 2007 where he oversees 2,700 employees and an annual budget of €750 million.
Several major infrastructural projects are in the pipeline including the reopening of the Cork-Midleton railway line, the North Ring Road and the review of the County Development Plan.
Mr. Riordan was born in Dublin in 1957 and educated at Marymount College, Carrick-on-Shannon. He is married with two children and lives in Glanmire.
Mr Riordan has 25 years experience in local government and the health service. He started his career as a Clerical Officer in Dublin City Council and worked in Waterford City Council and the South Eastern Health Board before taking the below senior appointments;
