What Can I Put In The Recycling Bin
Cardboard - cereal boxes, egg boxes, toys packaging (remove and discard plastic windows), soap powder (remove and discard plastic / metallic elements), Tetrapak containers (wash, squash, remove and discard plastic tops).
Paper & Magazines - newspapers, magazines, glossy brochures, office paper, exercise & school books, telephone directories, paper envelopes and junk mail (remove and discard plastic windows), catalogues, leaflets and pamphlets.
Plastic Bottles (wash and squash) - plastic containers stamped with 1 to 5 in a small triangle on the base of the containers such as beverage, milk, and shampoo bottles. You can also put the tops in the recycling bin if stamped with 1 to 5 in a small triangle.
Cans, Tins & Metal Jar Lids (Wash out and remove any paper labels) - soft drink and alcoholic beverage cans, all food tins such as baked beans, tinned vegetable and fruit cans, biscuit tins, metal lids from jars and pet food cans
Only the above materials will be collected. If the recycling bin contains unsuitable items, it will be left at the kerbside with a sticker explaining why it cannot be accepted and you will need to dispose of these unsuitable items with your other household refuse.
