Inspire your iPod
A new digital platform has been launched by the publisher of Clipper audio-books. One-Click Digital, the new audio-book download service from W.F.Howes Ltd. is managed directly by the publisher and replaces the EBSCO platform.
Available 24 hours a day, seven days a week, Library borrowers can download bestsellers from Stieg Larsson, David Nicholls and Dan Brown amongst many other bestsellers to play on their MP3 Player, iPod or computer from home or anywhere in the world. All that is required is a PC with broadband internet access and their library membership details.
As each title has unlimited availability, Library borrowers can all download the latest bestsellers at the same time; meaning waiting lists are a thing of the past. This is also excellent news for reading groups or even whole communities, who will all be able to listen to the same book at the same time.
There are over 600 titles in the One Click digital Collection with something for all tastes and ages, plus new titles will be added each month.
We strongly recommend that you watch the video tutorial before starting to use the service. Because iTunes/iPods are by default set up to synchronize with one computer, it is recommended that while patrons are welcome to research audiobooks from the library, they should download and transfer the books at home.
A user guide is also available.
To access the service, click on the Clipper DL link at the bottom right-hand side of the library homepage, or click here.
