diyCork – a Do It Yourself Festival to Sunday 20th May

The very first diyCork festival runs from Monday May 14th to Sunday 20th May with an eclectic programme of events in cork city and county. Organised on a voluntary basis with zero funding, the festival promises to casts a spotlight on Cork culture taking a fresh approach to festival programming underpinned by a strong Do It Yourself ethos. The diyCork programme features a vibrant mix of live music, performances, workshops, film, art and more to cater for all tastes and ages. The festival’s unique “Do It Yourself” approach has supported the development of self-organised events and projects that have been nurtured by skills sharing public meetings since January.  The seven day festival aims to cast a spotlight on Cork, its people and culture providing an opportunity to showcase projects and events while celebrating voluntary skills sharing and a can-do spirit. The diyCork festival programme can be found at www.facebook.com/DIYCork or email corkdiy@gmail.com
