    Details of Commission: Commissioned by Cork County Council with funding from the Per Cent for Art Scheme arising from the construction of the N28 Sli Charraigdhonn road.  Hennessy was commissioned to produce a sculpture which would be sited near the housing estates between Maryborough and Rochestown roads on the southern edge of Cork city.

    Artist Bio: Annette Hennessy was born in Cork and graduated from the Cork College of Art and Design in 1982.  She is now living in North Antrim. She is a sculptor who has worked on public sculptures throughout Ireland and also internationally.  She has broad experience in working with wax and bronze, particularly in figurative sculpture. 

    Annette is a former Executive Member of the Association of Artists in Ireland.  She has also a great deal of experience in devising and running Children's Art Workshops.  Her work can be found in both private and public collections in Ireland.
