Exhibitions at the Library
Ballincollig library hosts an annual art exhibition by F.A.C.T., the Ballincollig Family Resource Centre, usually in November or December. There are also regular exhibitions of art, photography, local projects and children's work.
Seasonal Events
In conjunction with the Arts Office, the library hosts seasonal events throughout the year. The month of May sees a programme of events for senior citizens to celebrate creativity and renewal for the Bealtaine Festival.
Arts Events
The Children's Book Festival takes place in October, and a programme of workshops and performances is in place each summer. All of these are presented and led by professional artists, craftspeople and performers.
Library staff at Ballincollig see the library as a public space, and work towards a quality public service. Groups with ideas of how the library might be of use to them are welcome to share their thoughts. The more imaginative the public use of the library, the better the service will be.
