Carrigaline Library offers a wide range of books for lending to adults and children, including books on tape and CDs. A selection of general reference books is also held, such as encyclopaedias and dictionaries. The library also stocks a collection of DVDs for adults and children.

Newspapers available for viewing in the library are as follows: the Irish Examiner, the Irish Times, the Southern Star and Carrigdhoun.

Internet Access is available on 5 PCs. Advance booking for this service is advisable.

Events

Storytime for children is held every Friday at 3:00pm.
A children's book club is held on the first Wednesday of each month at 3.30pm.
A gramophone recital is held on the third Thursday of every month at 11am.
An adult book club is held on the first Wednesday of every month at 11am.
The Carrigaline Photography Group occasionally exhibition their work in the library.
Visual art exhibitions are held from time to time. Please contact the library for details.
The library holds a function for the local active retirement group approximately every 6 weeks. Contact the library for details.
Various other activities are held throughout the year, including involvement in St. Brigid's Festival, the Bealtaine Festival and the Children's Book Festival.

Directions to the Library: From Cork take the N28 and stay on it until the Shannonpark Roundabout. Drive straight through this roundabout and also through the next two roundabouts. On arriving at the church drive straight on to the Main Street, passing the A.I.B Bank and SuperValu on the right. Take the next left turn, and the library is a large white building on the right-hand side, past the Gaelic Bar. The car park and entrance are shared with Dunnes Stores.
