Opening Hours

  • Tuesday  to Saturday, inclusive - 10am-1pm and 1:30pm-5:30pm.
  • Closed on Saturday of bank holiday weekends.

Charleville Library offers a wide range of books for lending to adults and children, including books on tape. A selection of general reference books is held, such as encyclopaedias and dictionaries.

The following current newspapers and periodicals are available for viewing in the library: the Irish Examiner , the Irish Independent , the Irish Times , the Corkman , the Farmer's Journal , the Limerick Leader and the Vale Star .

Internet access is available on 3 PCs. Advance booking for this service is advisable.

Events

Children's Book Club

The Children's Book Club, (5th-6th Classes), meets every Monday from 3:00pm - 4:00pm. New members are  welcome.

There will be an exhibition of work by artist Liam Browne from 15-29 April 2009.

Various activites are held throughout the year, including involvement in local festivals such as Bealtaine, the Summer Arts Programme and the Children's Book Festival.

Directions to the Library: Charleville library is located in the former Church of Ireland on Main Street, directly opposite the AIB. It is on the left side of the street coming from Cork or the right side coming from Limerick.
