Opening Hours
Tuesday to Saturday, inclusive - 9.30am-5:30pm. Open through lunch.
Late opening on Thursday, until 8pm.
Closed on Saturdays of Bank Holiday weekends.
Youghal Library service offers a wide range of books for lending to adults and children, including books on tape.
Internet access is available on 4 PCs. Advance booking for this service is advisable. This includes 1 PC with full Assistive Technology to aid people with disabilities.
Events
- Knitting and crochet group for all skill levels and age groups- every Thursday morning at 11am. First meeting on 16th July 2009.
- Bookswap: a weekly opportunity for both library members and non-members to chat about what they have read and swap books. Library books and readers' own books can be exchanged. Every Friday at 11am.
- Children's games every Friday from 3-4pm. Hangman and Connect 4 tournaments and lots more! Suitable for children aged 6+.
- Various other activities are held throughout the year, including involvement in festivals, such as the Bealtaine Festival, the Summer Arts Programme and Childrens Book Festival.
- Childrens Storytime is held occasionally, including at Christmas and Easter.
- Silver Surfers- Internet for Senior Citizens. Usually two groups of 3/4 per year, for a duration of six weeks - one hourlong session per week. Please contact the library for details.
