  • Broadband in Blarney

Schedule of WorksA town of 2,146 inhabitants located 14km to the North West of Cork City and is a 5 minute drive from Cork City and 20 minute drive from Cork International Airport. It is accessed from the interchange off the N20 National Primary Route. The Cork Area Strategic Plan proposes access to the town by rail and this proposal is currently being developed.

    CONFIGURATION
It is important to note that this design is subject to technical issues being resolved and therefore could change. A fibre route is proposed that will link to the Cork City MAN on Commons Road and then proceed to Blarney, totalling approximately 9,000m.

In Blarney, there will be a small loop in the town centre with two spurs, one going to the Eircom exchange and the other will proceed past the newly developed Blarney Business Park and then connect with the railway line giving resilience to the link.
