The Roads Department is responsible for the maintenance and upkeep of the existing public road network. The public road network consists of carriageways, margins, footpaths and kerbs.
Other responsibilities include:
- Planning, design and construction of new roads and motorways
- Public Lighting
- Traffic management
- School warden service
