Cork County Council Bye-Laws are laws enacted locally which apply Cork County only. Local authorities have the power to make byelaws under various enactments. Bye-laws in relation to waste have been made by Cork County Council under the Waste Management Act and the Local Government Act.
Presentation of Waste For Collection
Cork County Council at its meeting of 8th September 2003 adopted the Cork County Council (Presentation of Waste in Wheeled Bins) Bye-Laws, 2003 which regulate the presentation of waste for collection by Cork County Council or its agents. The bye-laws came into force on 9th October 2003.
All customers of Cork County Council waste collection services should be aware that their domestic refuse must be presented in accordance with the bye-laws.

Regulation of Use of Bring Sites
Cork County Council's Strategic Policy Committee has brought forward byelaws the Cork County Council (Regulation of the Use of Bring Sites) Bye-Laws 2004. These byelaws were adopted by Cork County Council on the 15th of October 2004.
The bye-laws aim to prevent the abuse of Cork County Council bring sites by banning the commercial use of such bring sites, preventing littering of the bring sites and placing of materials other than those intended in bring site receptacles among other measures.
