    Status of bathing water:  Green Coast 2011

    Galley Cove Beach is located 1.5km west of Crookhaven Village. The beach forms an inlet, all of which is called Galley Cove. It consists of 1 beach, approximately 250m in length. This beach forms part of a Special Area of Conservation (SAC) and a National Heritage Area (NHA).

    Galley Cove Beach is an extremely valuable resource to both residents and visitors for a number of reasons, including its scenery and landscape and for its safe and sheltered location for swimming and other recreational activities. It also forms part of a popular walking which takes in walking from Barley Cove to Crookhaven and also along the beach and onward up to Brow Head.
