Motor Tax Phone Service
To facilitate people who wish to avail of the Motor Taxation on-line service, but do not have access to a computer, Cork County Council have introduced a facility to tax vehicles via the telephone.
To avail of this service, all you have to do is:
Ring Cork County Council at 021-4544566.
You can pay your motor taxation over the phone if you meet the following criteria:
- You own a private vehicle.
- You are resident in Cork.
- You have received a reminder letter and have a pin number for the current year.
- You have no more than 3 months arrears.
- You have valid insurance details.
- You have a credit card or laser card.
- You can not pay your motor taxation over the phone if:
- You own a goods vehicle.
- You do not have a pin number for current year.
- Your car was off the road and do not wish to pay for arrears.
After paying the motor taxation over the phone you will be given a transaction number. Please keep this transaction number until you receive your tax disk. You should receive a tax disk in the post within 3-5 working days.
Please note calls are recorded and may be monitored for security, quality control and training purposes.
