Charges

  • Fire Safety Certificate and Disability Access Certificate.

    A Fire Safety Certificate is required for practically all developments other than domestic dwellings. A decision must be made by a building control authority on a valid application for a Fire Safety Certificate within two months of the date of receipt of the application, unless an extension of time is agreed with the applicant.

    The applicant may appeal the decision to An Bord Pleanála within one month of the date of the decision. Fire Safety Certificate application fees, which are payable per building, are as follows:

    • Minimum Fee - €125.00
    • Maximum Fee - €12,500.00

    Fees are calculated at €2.90 per square metre of internal floor area.

    Disability Access Certificate  fee  is a fixed fee of €800 per application.
