Department Structure

  • Department Structure

The activities of the IT Department have recently been broken into separate branches to further facilitate the provision of an efficient service to Cork County Council.

    • S.W.A.T (Software & Web Applications Team)
    • GIS Team (Geographical Information Systems)
    • Team iSeries Plus
    • Infrastructure
    • Training & Development
    • IT Service Desk

The IT Department has a role in ensuring that Information and Communications Technology is used to provide timely information to County Council staff and members, and that this information is disseminated to the public at the earliest opportunity.

Recently, Council members were provided with PCs and printers to facilitate better communications with staff. The Council also has a new web site on which the public may access information and resources about the Council's services. The web site contains downloadable publications and forms advice about a variety of Council services. Its user-friendly layout makes it easy for the user to navigate to the desired information.
