A town of 407 inhabitants located 21km south east of Cork City. It is accessed by National Primary Route N28. The Ringaskiddy deep water berth is of strategic importance to the southern region both from an industrial and tourism perspective. It lies within the Cork Area Strategic Plan boundary.
