Cork County Library subscribes to a number of online subscription resources that can be accessed at any of our branch libraries (see Internet Facilities). Britannica Online, the Dictionary of National Biography, Oxford Art Online and Oxford Music Online can also be accessed by library members from their home or other Internet point by using their library card barcode.

Irish Times Digital Archive

The Irish Times digital archive contains exact reproductions of all articles published by the Irish Times from 1859 onwards, and is available in all branch libraries via the Ask About Ireland website. This database can be accessed at any branch library.

Oxford Dictionary of National Biography

This database provides the complete text of the Oxford DNB: 55,000 biographies of people who shaped the history of the British Isles and beyond, from the earliest times to the year 2002. Oxford Music Online

Oxford Music Online is a gateway that offers users the ability to access the vast resources of Oxford's music reference in one location. The cornerstone of Oxford Music Online, Grove Music Online, has been completely redesigned with a number of functional enhancements and new content. Ordnance Survey Maps

This resource allows online access to the OSI Historic Map Series, dating from 1829, and is an invaluable resource for those interested in local history. This database can be accessed at any branch library.

This is a not-for-profit digital archive that provides full-text access to scholarly articles from a wide range of academic journals and other trusted sources. This database can be accessed at any branch library.
