County Development Plan 2009 2nd Edition.
The Cork County Development Plan 2009 was formally made by the County Council on 9th January 2009 and came into operation on 6th February 2009. The County Development Plan 2009 is a six year plan and is expected to remain in force until early 2015. Since its adoption, there have been four variations to the plan adopted by the Council, as set out in the table below.

Part A: Change Chapter 2 of the CDP
to address requirements relating to core strategies introduced by the planning and development (Amendment) Act 2010.
Part B: Consequential changes to chapter 3,4,5,6,8 & 9 of Vol. 1 & Vol. 3 Metropolitan Cork. Green Belt maps of the CDP, 2009 arising from the review of the electoral area Local Area Plans.

Given the number and scope of the changes arising from these variations, and in particular the Core Strategy Variation, it was considered that an updated edition of the plan was warranted. This 2nd Edition of the County Development Plan 2009 has been produced to incorporate all the adopted variations made up to December 2011.
By far the largest number of changes to the County Development Plan have arisen from the Core Strategy August 2011 Variation which was made to comply with the requirements of the Planning and Development (Amendment) Act 2010.
