    Foreshore Application in respect of the construction of an outfall in the vicinity of Ferry Point (to discharge treated effluent) and the refurbishment of existing outfalls at Foxhole, Dunn's Park, Paxes Lane and Front Strand (to discharge storm water) to serve the Youghal Main Drainage Scheme.

    • Midleton Garda Station, Midleton, Co. Cork (24 Hour Garda Station)
    • Youghal Public Library, Rivergate Shopping Mall, North Main Street, Youghal, Co. Cork (Tuesday to Saturday (except Thursdays), during the hours of 09.30 to 17.30 and Thursdays from 09.30 to 20.00.  Please note that the Library does not open on the Saturday of a Bank Holiday weekend.)
    • Youghal Town Council, Mall House, Youghal, Co. Cork (Monday to Friday during the hours of 09.00 to 16.30)


    A hard copy of the additional material and associated documents may be sourced from Cork County Council, WSIP Office, Model Business Park, Model Farm Road, Cork City.


    CDs that include the additional material and associated documents are available, free of charge, from Marine Planning & Foreshore Unit, Department of the Environment, Community and Local Government, Newtown Road, Wexford, Co. Wexford or by emailing foreshore@environ.ie.

    Submissions or observations regarding, the effects on the environment of the outfalls servicing the proposed facility and as related to the further information, may be made in writing within 4 weeks from the publication of this notice to the Minister for the Environment, Community and Local Government at Marine Planning and Foreshore Unit, Department of the Environment, Community and Local Government, Newtown Road, Wexford
     
    or by e-mail to foreshore@environ.ie (Quoting Ref: FS 005715).  The deadline for the receipt of written submissions or observations is therefore 17:30 on 5th December 2013.  This deadline shall be strictly observed.   Material received after the deadline shall not be included in the material upon which the Minister shall determine the application.
     

    Within 4 weeks from the publication of this notice, a copy of the additional material may be inspected free of charge at Marine Planning and Foreshore Unit, Department of the Environment, Community and Local Government, Newtown Road, Wexford, Co. Wexford during the hours 10:00 to 13:00 and 14:00 to 17:00 Monday to Friday.

    All objections and representations received will be forwarded to the applicant for comment prior to any decision being made in the matter.  Material upon which the Minster shall determine this application may be published on the Department's website.  In this regard the Department wishes to draw attention to its policy on defamatory material that may be contained in submissions it receives, which may be found at: http://www.environ.ie/en/Foreshore/Defamation Notice/.
