Parking
New Parking Meters have been installed in Mallow. The new automatic parking meters replace the old system of buying and displaying parking discs. This new system will be strictly implementedd from Monday 25th. January 2010.
Please note that, because of the new parking meters, the old scheme whereby people could park free of charge for up to 30 minutes has now been discontinued. The public can purchase a ticket for as little as of 20c. for 15 minutes. Maximum parking of 1 hour at a cost of 80c.
On street parking is available on all Town Centre Streets and is subject to time limits and payment of charges. There are approximately 400 spaces available on street.
In addition approx 409 spaces are provided in car parks located at Bowling Green (all day parking), Carmichael Lane (2 hour parking), St. James Avenue (2 hour parking), Off Park Road, Bridge Street (all day parking) and Muddy Hill (all day parking)
The following Charges Apply:
On street Charges - Parking Meters: 20cent for 15 minutes - 80cent per hour.
Car Park Charges
70 cent per hour
€3.00 per day
€12.00 per week
€30.00 per month
€300.00 per year
€20.00 residents permit
Abandoned Cars
Abandoning a vehicle in a public place is an offence. The Council has an obligation to enforce the law in relation to abandoned cars. Offenders will be issued with a written warning and be given 14 days to remove the vehicle. Failing to do so will result in a €150.00 fine or a court prosecution under the Litter Pollution Act, 1997.

Street Cleaning
A street cleaning service is provided on a daily basis including Saturday and Sunday, two full time and one part time street cleaners are engaged during Monday to Friday. Two part-time staff are employed on Saturday and Sunday operating from 5am to 9am.
