Ballyvourney and Ballymakeera Flood Relief Scheme Interim Works
Location:
The proposed development will be carried out on lands in Ballymakeera, Co. Cork.
In the Townlands of: Flats.
Nature and Extent of Proposed Development:
The proposed development comprises the following infrastructure projects or elements:
- Interim hard defences are anticipated to consist of 1000kg (10KN) sand bags and impermeable liners.
- Land raising at field access points at three locations, to allow access to/from the existing gateways whilst also mitigating against the 20-year flood levels.
- The fitting of two non-return valves at the outlets of two pipe outfalls. Also, a sump would likely need to be constructed on the dry side of each piped outlet and a pump to be available in times of need.
Plans and particulars of the proposed development will be available for inspection and/ or purchase at a fee of €15 per set from December 6th 2019 up to and including January 10th 2020 as follows:

The subject of this Part 8 application is the development of a greenway and related ancillary works from the environs of Midleton Train Station, Midleton, County Cork to the disused Youghal Train Station, Youghal, County Cork within the townlands of Townparks (Imokilly By), Broomfield East, Park North, Killeagh, Roxborough, Clashduff, Stumphill, Ballynascarty, Kilmountain, Ballycrenane Beg, Mogeely, Carrignashinny, Garranejames, Ballyquirk, Clashdermot West, Mountbell, Lisglasheen, Moanlahan, Lagile, Ballymakeagh More, Finisk, (ED Clonpriest), Burges Lower, Inchiquin, Gortaroo, Coolnacloghafinna, Coolaha, Beanfield, Ballyvergan West, Kennel, Ballyvergan East, Colerenagh, Summerfield, Dysart, Claycastle, Williamstown, County Cork.
The proposed development of the greenway incorporates the following principal features: vegetation and site clearance; provision of a sealed surface path with a desirable maximum width of 4m and a general minimum width of 3m; provision of a boardwalk; provision of car parking facilities adjoining Midleton Train Station and adjoining the former railway stations at Mogeely, Killeagh and Youghal; provision of agricultural crossings; provision of boundary fencing, walls and railings; repair/replacement and remedial works to bridges, culverts and drains; provision of ducting; provision of traffic calming and safety measures at road crossings; construction access and temporary construction compounds; provision of signage, seating, cycle stands, markings and all delineation works, landscaping and all ancillary development and associated accommodation works. The development consists of works within the curtilage of Protected Structures: RPS No. 5 (Townparks (Imokilly By)); RPS No. 3003, RPS No. 3004 and RPS No. 3036 (Williamstown).

Cork County Council’s Housing Infrastructure Implementation Team held a Special Meeting with the Elected Members of the Cobh Municipal District on 16th July 2018 where the ‘Part 8 Report of Chief Executive ‘ was considered and two additional modifications agreed. The minutes of this meeting are available once approved week ending 7th September 2018.
Cork County Council’s Housing Infrastructure Implementation Team received Part 8 Planning approval with modifications at the Full County Council Meeting on 23rd July 2018, including one further additional modification, resulting in 35 modifications in total. The minutes of this meeting are available once approved week ending 14th September 2018.

Overview
Cork County Council in partnership with AECOM Design Consultants are proposing to carry out a number of road improvement and sustainable transport works in the Glanmire, Sallybrook and Riverstown areas, Co. Cork.
The proposed scheme is in accordance with the County Development Plan 2014 and with the Cobh Municipal District Local Area Plan 2017 and is supported by the “Local Infrastructure Housing Activation Fund” (LIHAF) as part of the Government’s Rebuilding Ireland Action Plan for Housing and Homelessness 2016.
The proposed development comprises a total of 16 no. infrastructural works including an Upgrade of the Dunkettle Road; New Link Road (L3010 to Hazelwood Road); Road Improvements (including at Glanmire Village, Tivoli Roundabout, East Cliff Road); Barring right hand turn at Dunkettle Slip Road; Junction Improvements (including at Church Hill, Riverstown, Hazelwood Road, Riverstown Road/East Cliff Road, Brook Inn Junction and R615/R639); Bridge improvements (including at Glanmire and Riverstown Bridges); New Greenway, predominantly off-road, from Glanmire Community College to Coláiste an Phiarsigh and; Footpath Improvements from Fernwood to Riverstown.
Plans and particulars of the proposed development, including a Part VIII Report and Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs), are available for inspection in the "Related Documents" section below.
The Part VIII documents were also available for inspection in Council Offices from 4 May 2018 up to and including 15 June 2018 at locations and times as described in the public advertisement.
The closing date for receipt of submissions and observations was the 29 June 2018.

In accordance with Part 8, Article 81 of the 2001-2017 Planning and Development Regulations, Cork County Council gives notice of proposals pertaining to development.

There was a public consultation day on 17th May 2018 which was an opportunity to view the plans and discuss these with Council Officials and Design Consultants which took place in the Scout Hall in Glanmire located next to Aldi.

Overview
Cork County Council, with Atkins Design Consultants working on their behalf, is proposing to carry out a number of infrastructure works in the Water-Rock area, Midleton, Co. Cork.
The proposed scheme is in accordance with the County Development Plan 2014 and with the East Cork Municipal District Local Area Plan 2017 and is supported by the “Local Infrastructure Housing Activation Fund” (LIHAF) as part of the Government’s Rebuilding Ireland Action Plan for Housing and Homelessness 2016.

In accordance with Part XI of the (Planning & Development) Act, 2000-2017 and Part 8, Article 81 of the Planning and Development Regulations 2001-2018, notice is hereby given by Cork County Council of a proposed residential development on 0.24 hectares of land located at Radharc na Croise, Model Village, Dripsey, Co. Cork.
The construction of 6 no. 2-storey terraced family-type dwellings comprising of 3 no. 3-Bed and 3 no. 2-Bed units. The site works include connection to existing foul and surface water drainage, partial removal of existing stone wall, new parking spaces, minor regrading / cut and fill, removal of sod and earth ditch, new boundary treatments, landscaping and associated ancillary site development works.
Plans and particulars of the proposed development will be available for inspection or purchase at a fee not exceeding the reasonable cost of making a copy from 31st August 2018 and up to and including 28th September 2018 at the:

EMERGENCY MEASURES IN THE PUBLIC INTEREST (COVID 19) ACT, 2020 – Section 9
Further to the original public notice shown below, Cork County Council hereby confirms that the consultation period for the proposed development is extended until Friday 3rd July 2020.
The extension to the public consultation period is required as a result of recently enacted emergency legislation, the Emergency Measures in the Public Interest (Covid 19) Act, 2020. Section 9 of this Act inserts Section 251A into the Planning and Development Act, 2000, as amended. The Minister has made an Order under Section 251A(4), such that the period from 29th March 2020 to 23rd May 2020 inclusive may be disregarded when calculating timelines in the Planning and Development Act, 2000, as amended.
