Cork County Council’s offices are closed from 24th – 29th December inclusive & 1st – 3rd January inclusive. If you are a Council tenant and your property is in need of emergency repair or if you require access to homeless services please ring the Council’s out of hours emergency number (021)-4800048. This service is only for emergencies only.

Boil Water Notice on Newmarket Public Water Supply lifted with immediate effect

Irish Water, working in partnership with Cork County Council wishes to notify customers on the Newmarket Public Water Supply that following the completion of remedial measures and the receipt of satisfactory monitoring results, the boil water notice which has been in place is now lifted with immediate effect. This decision follows consultation undertaken with the Health Service Executive.

Longfields and Killavullen Bridge Reopen

Roads at Longfields Bridge and Killavullen Bridge have now reopened. As a precaution, the barriers in Mallow and Fermoy will remain in situ for the next few days.  Cork County Council will review the situation early next week. In the interim,  some of the barriers will be opened to facilitate pedestrian access at the horses water in Mallow, at the rowing club in Fermoy and access for businesses in the Council car park in Mallow.

Cork County Council wishes to advise Applicants for Abnormal Load Permits, who will be travelling during the period 21st December 2021 to 12th January 2022, that Applications should be submitted as soon as possible, as we cannot guarantee the timeframe for the issue of permits for Applications received between 21st December, 2021 and 12th January, 2022.
