LifeFM 93.1, in association with Cork County Council Library & Arts Service is delighted to launch “Making a Scene” a new series that will celebrate and showcase the budding playwrights of Cork County.
Creators of high quality radio dramas for ten years, we will use our expertise to help writers of Cork County create their own on air drama. We are seeking out radio drama scripts from Cork County residents, to produce them for broadcast. Each episode will begin with a short note on the writer followed by their work, as performed by our experienced inhouse actors.
In addition there are two free workshops in Cobh Library on how to write for radio. The first took place last week and explored how to approach writing a script for radio. The next one will take place on the 28th of June at 11AM and will explain how to write compelling dialogue. Places are limited, so be sure to book in advance by contacting Cobh Library at 021 4811130 or emailing firstname.lastname@example.org. Attendance not mandatory to enter, but we highly recommend attending!
The chosen pieces will be broadcast on the radio in September and we will post each program online.
