A copy of the advisory notice advising not to swim and to avoid the water due to high levels of bacteria. It states that the likely cause is unknown.

An Advisory Notice NOT TO SWIM  was placed at Sheep’s Head, Dooneen Pier, Friday 26th June, due to an increase in the levels of bacteria found in the bathing water sample taken on Wednesday 24th June. The Advisory Notice will remain in place until such time as the bathing water quality is compliant with the Bathing Water regulations.  The status of the notice will be reviewed following further sampling to be carried out in the coming days as part of our bathing water sampling programme.
