Cork County Blue Flag and Green Coast Awards

Cork County Council can confirm that the Blue Flag has been reinstated in Garrestown Beach and will be raised as soon as the required conditions, that of recycling facilities are provided. The Council will make arrangements to provide these facilities at the earliest opportunity.

This additional flag will bring the total number of International Blue Flag Awards and the National Green Coast Awards for 2023 in County Cork to 28.  Cllr Alan Coleman, deputising for the Mayor of Cork County was joined by community groups, members of An Taisce, Cork County Council Elected Members and staff in presenting the flags to this year’s recipients.
