Cork County Council has announced that it will continue the lead sponsorship of Cork Summer Show 2019. The Cork Summer Show, which takes place on 15 and 16 June at the Showgrounds in Curraheen,  will be showcasing all that County Cork has to offer visitors, tourists, business and residents at the 2 day event.

“We are delighted to support the Cork Summer Show for the fourth year in a row. The Show is a great snapshot of all that Cork County has to offer – from great food, music, farming heritage and innovation as well as being a great attraction for visitors and tourists everywhere to Cork. We, at Cork County Council, see the Cork Summer Show as an ideal fit reflecting the wealth of services that your Council offers, many of which we are looking forward to highlighting at the Show again this year,”

said Mayor of the County of Cork, Cllr Patrick Gerard Murphy.

This year’s Cork Summer Show, sponsored by Cork County Council, has an even bigger line up than ever, with helicopter rides, drone racing, the artisan food marquee and Frank & Walters band and Stephanie Rainey added to the stellar line up.  As always  the event will feature the traditional Show staples from breeds of cattle, competitions for hunters, ponies and horses as well as sheep, goats, poultry, trade stands and machinery exhibits. This year, the Horse Jumping events are also supported by Cork County Council.

A super sized kids zone and animal pet zoo for young children is also on the line up again this year and the Echo Pet Dog show attracts 300 dogs and their owners competing across 9 categories.

“We are delighted with the support of Cork County Council for the Cork Summer Show 2019.  The event draws thousands of visitors, national and international, to Cork every year.  As the show has a wide appeal from young people to families, from foodies to farmers, music lovers to animal lovers, it is a great day out and everyone benefits from this very significant Show in the Cork region,”

added Robert Harkin, Chairman of Munster Agricultural Society.

Free parking is available at the Showgrounds in Curraheen and a free shuttle bus service from Ballincollig Shopping Centre, Black Ash Park & Ride and Curraheen Park Greyhound Stadium will be in operation also.
