Draft Climate Adaptation Strategy 2019-2024
Notice is hereby given, that Cork County Council has prepared a
Draft Climate Adaptation Strategy 2019‐2024.
The Draft Climate Adaptation Strategy sets out how Cork County Council will lead the journey to a Climate Ready Cork and work to reduce our exposure to climate risks and capture new opportunities. The Draft Strategy includes a range of actions across seven thematic areas; Local Adaptation Governance and Business Operations, Infrastructure & Built Environment, Land Use & Development, Drainage & Flood Management, Natural Resources & Cultural Infrastructure, Community Health & Well Being and Other Sectors & Agencies.
The Cork County Council Draft Climate Adaptation Strategy (Irish & English text), the Strategic Environmental Assessment (SEA) Screening Report and Appropriate Assessment (AA) Screening report together with a contextual statement are linked below.
The closing date for receipt of submissions was 5.00 p.m. on Monday the 26th of August, 2019.
The period for receipt of submissions HAS NOW CLOSED.
All submissions or observations received are currently being assessed by Cork County Council.
