Cork County Council extends its congratulations to Bandon Geriatric and Community Council, and Sean Kelleher & Dan Dineen of Coiste Tithe Uibh Laoire for their victory in the Irish Council for Social Housing Community Housing Awards today.

We are very proud to work alongside these exceptional organisations and people to deliver housing that meets the needs of our communities.

Bandon Geriatric Community Council delivered excellent quality housing as part of a partnership scheme between Cork County Council and The Department of Housing, Planning and Local Government. Tenants have described living there as "like winning the lotto".

Cork County Council has worked alongside Coiste Tithe Uibh Laoire for the delivery of projects including the recently launched Cuan Barra, Kilmore, Béal Átha an Ghaorthaidh development which will see low energy age-friendly bungalows contributing to the resilience of the community.

We look forward to continued work alongside organisations like Coiste Tithe Uibh Laoire and Bandon Geriatric Community Council to deliver housing that meets the needs of the communities of County Cork.
