Design A Library Card for the New Bandon Library

To celebrate the forthcoming opening of the new Bandon Library later this year, Cork County Council Library & Arts Service are inviting members of the public to design a library card on the theme of ‘Bandon: My Town, My Library’.

The winning designs will feature on special limited-edition library cards, which will be available exclusively from Bandon Library at the time of its opening. There are three categories (Age 8 – 12 years, age 13 – 17 years, and Adult), with one winning design chosen from each category.

Mayor of the County of Cork, Cllr Gillian Coughlan welcomed the initiative,

The “Bandon: My Town, My Library’ initiative by Cork County Council’ Library and Arts Service is a fantastic opportunity for the community to engage with this wonderful amenity ahead of its opening. The competition gives people a chance to highlight the uniqueness and character of Bandon and is a great opportunity for people of all ages to show and celebrate their creativity.”

Entry forms are available online at www.corkcoco.ie Alternatively, email Bandon Library or collect an entry form at the branch. The closing date for entry is Tuesday, October 12th at 5pm, and all entries should be returned to Bandon Library.
