Cork County Council wishes to advise that it will be necessary to delay the reopening of the north bound lane to September 9th 2019 due to the nature of the works taking place.

Mallow Bridge is a circa 250  year old masonry bridge with works involving the relocation of existing utilities and providing necessary future proofing which are being delivered in a confined working space. These works are necessary for the future installation of the boardwalk structure and extra traffic lane.

The opening of the Northbound lane will then allow for two lanes of traffic and a temporary footpath on the bridge.

Future lane and road closures required to facilitate the construction of the boardwalk will be carried out at night time where possible.

Cork County Council regrets this delay and wishes to apologise for any inconvenience caused.

Future Road Closures and Detours will be updated on Map Alerter at www.mapalerter.com
