Strategic Policy Committees
Cork County Council has reviewed its Strategic Policy Committee (SPC) Structure and has prepared a draft SPC Scheme, which proposes the establishment of the following Committees, to consider matters connected with the formulation, development, monitoring and review of policy which relate to the functions of the Council and to advise the Council on those matters.
Strategic Policy Committees:
- Planning & Strategic Development,
- Environment, Climate Action & Biodiversity,
- Economic Development & Enterprise,
- Roads & Transport,
- Social Inclusion, Community & Rural Development,
- Arts, Culture & Languages.
Membership of the SPCs will comprise local Elected Members and representatives of various sectoral interests. The Council is now seeking the views of the sectors, as represented by the National Pillars, and of other interested parties on the proposed scheme, which is available from the Corporate Services Section, Floor 14, County Hall, Cork (021-4285367) and in additional news documents section below.
