TEMPORARY CLOSING OF PUBLIC ROADS

Pursuant to Section 75 of the Roads Act 1993, & Article 12 of the Roads Regulations 1994, notice is hereby given that Cork County Council proposes to temporarily close the following road for the period and reason specified below:- 

Road Subject of Proposed Closure
R629 Ballinacurra to Cloyne, Co. Cork – from 3 Crossroads at Innygraga (Bowles Gate) to 3 Crossroads at Townparks, Cloyne on the Cloyne Relief Road.

Period of Proposed Closure 
From 8.00hrs on Monday, 27th June 2022 to 17.00hrs on Monday, 4th July 2022
(Daily Closure).

Reason for Proposed Closure
To facilitate Road Maintenance Works (Surface Dressing) from Scarriff to Knockgorm
Alternative Routes
From R-629 T-Junction with the R630 at Ballynacorra Grotto detour South via the R-630 Whitegate Road to Saleen and onwards to Cloyne Cross at Ballydwyre turning East Via R-631 to Cloyne Village.
This alternative route is also applicable in reverse.
Local access maybe accommodated when works allow. The works are weather dependant and will be carried out over a number of days during the Temporary Road Closure period and at other times the road will remain open.
Objections to this proposed temporary road closure should be made in writing, to the undersigned, quoting Ref: TRC-71 -2022, not later than 5pm on Friday 13th May, 2022.  Telephone contact details should be included in the objection.

L-3633 Cloyne, Co. Cork - A rolling road closure of L-3633 from Cloyne Village to Ballycotton Reservoir via Churchtown South Village - 
L-3633- 0 Church St. Cloyne Village, Kilboy, onward to Ballyknock
L-3633-24 Lickane, Ballycatoo, onward to Churchtown South Village
L-3633-57 Maytown to Ballyandreen Crossroads
L-3633-79 Ballyandreen Crossroads to Ballygeany, Ballytrasna onward to Ballycotton Village at Sea Church

Period of Proposed Closure 
From 08:00 on Monday 13th June 2022 to 18:00 on Friday 23rd December 2022 (24hr Closure)

Reason for Proposed Closure
To facilitate the Installation of Watermain by Irish Water

Alternative Routes
From Cloyne continue on the R-629 to Ballymaloe Cross and onward to Shanagarry Village turning south for Ballycotton Village joining the L-3633-79 Churchtown South Road at Sea Church.
The stated diversion route is applicable in reverse when travelling in the opposite direction.

Local Access will be maintained throughout the duration of the closure.

Objections to this proposed temporary road closure should be made in writing, to the undersigned, quoting Ref: TRC-66-2022, not later than 5pm on Friday 13th May, 2022.  Telephone contact details should be included in the objection.

L-3601 Midleton to Castlelyons Road (Walshtown Road) - at Oldcourt,  Monaleen, Peafield Cross and Ballyogaha to Ballyard Cross Roads.
Period of Proposed Closure 
From 8.00hrs on Monday, 4th July 2022 to 17.00hrs on Friday 12th August 2022
(Daily Closure)

Reason for Proposed Closure
To facilitate Restoration Improvement Roadworks (Overlay) from Oldcourt, Monaleen to Ballyogaha.
Alternative Routes
Travelling Southbound from Castlelyons detour from Two Pot Cross via the L-3600 and L-3800 to Dungourney Village. In Dungourney Village join the R-627 to Midleton Town.
This alternative route is also applicable in reverse.
Local access maybe accommodated when works allow. The works are weather dependant and will be carried out over a number of days during the Temporary Road Closure period and at other times the road will remain open.
