ROADS ACT, 1993
TEMPORARY CLOSING OF PUBLIC ROADS

Pursuant to Section 75 of the Roads Act 1993, & Article 12 of the Roads Regulations 1994, notice is hereby given that Cork County Council proposes to temporarily close the following road for the period and reason specified below:

Road Subject of Proposed Closure
R-590, Crookstown to Carrigeen, Co. Cork.

Period of Proposed Closure
From 08.30hrs on Tuesday 7th June 2022 to 18.00hrs on Friday 10th June 2022.
(Daily Closure).

Reason for Proposed Closure
To facilitate Road Resurfacing.

Alternative Routes
Traffic travelling south: At Crookstown take the R-585 south to Beal na Blath. Take the L-2011 south to Mossgrove Cross Roads. Take the L-2009 east to meet the R-590 at Carrigeen.

The stated diversion route is applicable in reverse when travelling in the opposite direction.

Local access will be maintained throughout the duration of the Road Closure. This closure will take place in sequence with TRC-67-2022 – “R585 Beal na Bláth to Crookstown”, however both roads will not be closed at the same time.

Objections to this proposed temporary road closure should be made in writing, to the undersigned, quoting Ref: TRC-78-2022, not later than 5.00pm on Tuesday 24th May 2022. Telephone contact details should be included in the objection.

Please note this notice supersedes all previous public notices in relation to TRC-68-2022 - R-590, Beal na Blath to Carrigeen, Co. Cork.
