Temporary Closing of Public Roads
ROADS ACT, 1993
TEMPORARY CLOSING OF PUBLIC ROADS
Pursuant to Section 75 of the Roads Act 1993, & Article 12 of the Roads Regulations 1994, notice is hereby given that Cork County Council proposes to temporarily close the following road for the period and reason specified below:
Road Subject of Proposed Closure
R-582 Millstreet Road at Gurteenroe, Macroom, Co. Cork.
Period of Proposed Closure
From 03.00hrs to 08.00hrs on Saturday the 18th June 2022.
(Daily Closure)
Reason for Proposed Closure
To facilitate installation of culvert.
Alternative Routes
Southbound Traffic: At Ardnacrushy take the L-3409 west through Clondrohid as far as the junction with the N22. Follow the N22 east to Macroom.
Northbound Traffic: At the junction of the N22 and the R-582, remain on the N22 and travel west to the junction with the L-3409. Follow the L-3409 through Clondrohid and onto the R-582 at Ardnacrushy.
There will be no access north of Líos na Fé Housing Estate or south of the Teerbeg Roundabout for the duration of the closure
Objections to this proposed temporary road closure should be made in writing, to the undersigned, quoting Ref: TRC-76-2022, not later than 5.00pm on Wednesday 25th May 2022. Telephone contact details should be included in the objection.
