TEMPORARY CLOSING OF PUBLIC ROADS

Pursuant to Section 75 of the Roads Act 1993, & Article 12 of the Roads Regulations 1994, notice is hereby given that Cork County Council proposes to temporarily close the following road for the period and reason specified below:-

Road Subject of Proposed Closure

L-2474 Section of Glen Road, Monkstown

Period of Proposed Closure

From 07.00hrs Monday 2nd March, 2020 to 07.00hrs Sunday 5th April, 2020.

(24hr Closure)

Reason for Proposed Closure

To facilitate the pulling of the HDD Pipe into the Monkstown Playground for installation across the Estuary. 

Alternative Routes

Traffic travelling eastbound on the L-2474 wishing to access locations east of the closed section of roadway should turn left onto the L-2481-0, head in an easterly direction and proceed to the junction of Laurel Hill (L-2480) they should turn left to rejoin the R-610.

Traffic on the R610 wishing to access locations west of the closed section of roadway should turn right onto Laurel Hill and follow diversion signage.

Traffic on the L-6470-0 should head in a westerly direction and turn left to rejoin the R-610.

Traffic on Scotchmans Road and Diamond Road should proceed in an easterly direction to join the R-610 and follow diversion signage

Local access will be maintained throughout the duration of the Road Closure.

Objections to this proposed temporary road closure should be made in writing, to the undersigned, quoting Ref: TRC-18-2020, not later than 5pm on Wednesday 12th February, 2020.  Telephone contact details should be included in the objection.

Period of Proposed Closure

From 09.30hrs Monday 9th March 2020 to 17.00hrs Monday 16th March, 2020

(Daily closure – excluding weekends)

Reason for Proposed Closure

To facilitate Road Resurfacing

Alternative Routes

Westbound Traffic: at Dripsey Ambush Site follow the L-6811-0 south west to the R-619.  Take the R-619 north into Coachford to rejoin the R-618.

Eastbound Traffic: follow the above diversion in reverse.

Objections to this proposed temporary road closure should be made in writing, to the undersigned, quoting Ref: TRC-19-2020, not later than 5pm on Wednesday 12th February, 2020.  Telephone contact details should be included in the objection.

TEMPORARY CLOSING OF PUBLIC ROADS

Pursuant to Section 75 of the Roads Act 1993, & Article 12 of the Roads Regulations 1994, notice is hereby given that Cork County Council proposes to temporarily close the following roads for the period and reason specified below:-

Roads Subject of Proposed Closure

The following sections of roads from Lake Cross, Skibbereen (up to the Reservoir).

1. L8245-0 [R1]

2. L8244-0 (partial closure) [R2]

3. L82471-0 [R3]

Period of Proposed Closure

From 07.00hrs on Tuesday 25th February 2020 to 19.00hrs on Monday 25th May 2020. (24hr Closure).

Reason for Proposed Closure

To facilitate installation of new Water Mains.

Alternative Routes

Along the R596/L8244-0 – The roads will be closed in sequence from Lake Cross up to the reservoir, R1 first, then R2, then R3.  This will be the case so that a suitable access/diversion route is maintained.

Local access to be maintained where possible.  NOTE:  When works are being carried out when R3 road closure is in place, an ALL STOP system of works will be carried out as there is no alternative means of access for the residents on R3.  

Objections to this proposed temporary road closure should be made in writing, to the undersigned, quoting Ref: TRC-23-2020, not later than 5pm on Wednesday 12th February 2020.  Telephone contact details should be included in the objection.
