Bantry is the place to be for the next week for anyone with even a passing interest in all things literary. The Programme for the 2019 West Cork Literary Festival continues in and around the town until Friday July 19th. The festival, proudly supported by Cork County Council, features a mixture of events from readings, to workshops, to yoga, to swimming, and all things in between.

West Cork Literary Festival regular, Graham Norton, will be appearing at an already sold out event on Thursday evening, July 18th.

Other highlights include An Evening with Aisling:  Emer McLysaght and Sarah Breen’s discuss their fabulous follow-up to Oh My God, What a Complete Aisling - The Importance of Being Aisling on Saturday 13th at 8.30. While on Sunday 14th at 3pm Singer/songwriter Tracey Thorn will talk about her memoir, Another Planet. Both events are in The Maritime Hotel.

Crime writer Tana French will be in Bantry House Tea Rooms at 3pm on Tuesday 16th. In The Maritime Joseph O’Connor will be appearing alongside Paraic O’Donnell on Friday, July 19th.

There are other events in many locations around the town, including Bantry Bookshop and Bantry Library.
