TEMPORARY CLOSING OF PUBLIC ROADS

Pursuant to Section 75 of the Roads Act 1993, & Article 12 of the Roads Regulations 1994, notice is hereby given that Cork County Council proposes to temporarily close the following road for the periods and reasons specified below:

Road Subject of Proposed Closure

L-22001 (Part of), Coolnasoon, Carrigadrohid, Macroom, Co. Cork.

Period of Proposed Closure

From 08:00hrs on Monday 7th November 2022 to 18.00hrs on Friday 9th December 2022. (24hr Closure).

Reason for Proposed Closure

To facilitate the installation of a new watermain.

Alternative Routes

Continue south on L-2200 towards Larch Hill Crossroads, at the Crossroads turn left onto the L-2201 and finally take the first left onto the L-22001.

The stated diversion route is applicable in reverse when travelling in the opposite direction.

Local access will be maintained throughout the duration of the Road Closure. 

Objections to this proposed temporary road closure should be made in writing, to the undersigned, quoting Ref: TRC-158-2022, not later than 5.00pm on Tuesday 20th September, 2022.  Telephone contact details should be included in the objection.

Pursuant to Section 75 of the Roads Act 1993, & Article 12 of the Roads Regulations 1994, notice is hereby given that Cork County Council proposes to temporarily close the following road for the periods and reasons specified below:

Road Subject of Proposed Closure

L-2057-0 (Part), St Patrick’s Quay, Bandon, Co. Cork (Phase 2) – section of works from east car park junction to its junction with St Finbarr’s Place/Market Street.

Period of Proposed Closure

From 19:00hrs on Friday 21st October 2022 to 19:00hrs on Friday11th November 2022. (24hr Closure).

Reason for Proposed Closure

To facilitate Irish Water Pipeline Construction.

Alternative Routes

Town Centre Bound Traffic: Traffic intending to traverse St Patrick’s Quay from St Finbarr Place shall divert along McSwiney Quay and then Weir Street to the Town Centre. 

N71 Clonakilty Bound Traffic: Traffic intending to traverse St Patrick’s Quay from St Finbarr Place shall divert east onto R586 Glasslinn Road.  At the roundabout take the second road access to N71 Bandon Bypass, turn right onto the Kibrittain Road junction.  At the mini roundabout turn left onto the N71 west bound continuing towards Clonakilty. 

Access to Harte’s Car Park shall be maintained at all times. 

Bridge Lane shall be re-opened for traffic during the road closure.

No left turn shall be in operation at the Glasslinn Road Junction with St Finbarr Place.

Access from southbound St Finbarr Place traffic intending to access Oliver Plunkett Street shall be encouraged via Glasslinn Road and Station Road.

In order to facilitate free flowing traffic on McSwiney Quay, parking will be prohibited on McSwiney Quay for the duration of the road closure.

Traffic may access Harte’s Car Park east entrance, via the east side approach on St Patrick Quay or from Bridge Lane. Egress from the car park shall be via Bridge Lane, Pearse Street. 

Objections to this proposed temporary road closure should be made in writing, to the undersigned, quoting Ref: TRC-164-2022, not later than 5.00pm on Wednesday 21st September 2022.  Telephone contact details should be included in the objection.

Period of Proposed Closure

From 08:00hrs on Monday 10th October 2022 to 18.00hrs on Monday 27th February 2023. (24hr Closure)

Reason for Proposed Closure

To facilitate Installation of New Watermain.

Alternative Routes

On the R633 travelling from Ladysbridge to Ballymacoda, the road to the left towards L-7853 Kilcraheen will be closed, continue towards Ballymacoda and take a left (L-3815 Ballyfleming) towards Aghavine Cross Roads.  Take a left at the cross for the L-3811.  This will lead you back on to the L-7854 & L-7853 on the left-hand side.

The stated diversion route is applicable in reverse when travelling in the opposite direction.

Local access will be maintained throughout the duration of the Road Closure.

Reason for Proposed Closure

To facilitate the Installation of a New Watermain.

Alternative Routes

Continue south on L-2200 towards Larch Hill, at L-6200 junction, turn right and finally take the first right onto the L-6201.

The stated diversion route is applicable in reverse when travelling in the opposite direction.

Local access will be maintained throughout the duration of the Road Closure.
