Ireland Strategic Investment Fund and Cork County Council reach agreement in principle to establish joint venture to build infrastructure for housing

-       JV aims to accelerate delivery of new homes by providing crucial supporting infrastructure (water, roads, lighting)
-        Will allow housebuilders to redeploy capital for building additional homes
-        Will enable larger sites of strategic importance, many of which may be in multiple ownership
-        Initial focus is on Cork Metropolitan Area with potential to roll out the service nationally


Interim Recreation and Amenity Policy

Cork County Council have prepared an Interim Recreation and Amenity Policy to address some of the issues experienced in the implementation of the Council’s current Recreation and Amenity Policy.  The interim approach will apply to the provisions of Policy Objective 7 and Appendix A of the 2006 Policy. West Cork Municipal District Local Area Plan 2017

Cork County Council is proposing to amend the West Cork Municipal District Local Area Plan to extend the development boundary of Skibbereen and include land as ‘Existing Built-up Area’.  The Council is accepting submissions online or in writing from Thursday 21st March until 4 p.m. on Friday 3rd May 2019.
