Mayor's Charity Night 2019. Rewind to the 80's!

In association with our media partner The Southern Star, the Mayor of the County of Cork Cllr. Patrick Gerard Murphy invites you to don your leg warmers, shoulder pads and big hair for this very special event raising funds for these well-deserving charities; Cork Arc, Co-Action and Cancer Connect.

Saturday April 6th from 7pm at the Westlodge Hotel in Bantry

Tickets at €45 include party food from West Cork’s finest suppliers, prize for the best 80's outfit and top notch entertainment, including MC for the evening Mr. Gerald Kean!

'Crowman' a new play by the up-and-coming North Cork playwright, Katie Holly, can be seen at the Mall Arts Centre on Saturday April 6th.

Katie’s reputation as a playwright is steadily increasing. Her recent plays “Marion” and “Sharon” have received excellent notices.In 2018 Katie received a Cork County Council Artist Bursary for a new play “Crowman”, written specially for Jon Kenny of d’Unbelieveables. This was premiered to great acclaim at the 2018 Cork Midsummer Festival and is now on national tour.

A BIG PUSH TO SAVE LIVES!

A group of 5 responder schemes are coming together to hold a joint event in Cork Racecourse Mallow on 27th April 2019 to publicise our responder schemes and what we do in our communities. We are holding a family fun day and some of our responders along with members of the fire service and Gardaí are going to push a fully equipped ambulance the distance of a full marathon. All 26.2 miles of it.
