Cork County Council is calling on all mobile traders to cease trading in open spaces, beaches and parks in order to assist in the control of Covid 19.

At today’s Full Council meeting, the Elected Members were unanimous in this request as trading in these areas where members of the public are gathering was having a significant impact on the ability of members of the public to practice social distancing.

Cork County Council’s Councillors are also encouraging members of the public to reconsider availing of trading services where social distancing arrangements are not in place and for everyone to play their part in observing HSE guidelines in adhering to social distancing advice.

Tá Comhairle Contae Chorcaí ag éileamh ar gach trádálaí soghluaiste stad a chur le trádáil i spásanna oscailte, tránna agus páirceanna d’fhonn cabhrú le rialú Covid 19.

Ag cruinniú Iomlán na Comhairle inniu, bhí na Comhaltaí Tofa d’aon ghuth san iarraidh seo toisc go bhfuil tionchar suntasach ag trádáil sna réimsí seo ar an gcumas ina mbeadh baill an phobail scaradh sóisialta a chleachtadh.

Tá Comhairleoirí Chomhairle Contae Chorcaí ag spreagadh baill den phobal athmhachnamh a dhéanamh ar leas a bhaint as seirbhísí trádála i gcás nach bhfuil socruithe um scaradh sóisialta i bhfeidhm agus do gach duine a pháirt a ghlacadh i dtreoirlínte an FSS a chomhlíonadh maidir le scaradh sóisialta.
