Temporary Closing of Public Roads

Pursuant to Section 75 of the Roads Act 1993, & Article 12 of the Roads Regulations 1994, notice is hereby given that Cork County Council proposes to temporarily close the following road for the period and reason specified below:

Road Subject of Proposed Closure
R-585 Poularick, Beal na Blath, Macroom, Co. Cork.

Period of Proposed Closure 
From 08.00hrs on Tuesday 26th October 2021 to 17.00hrs on Sunday 7th November 2021.
(Daily Closure).

Reason for Proposed Closure
To facilitate Road Resurfacing.

Alternative Routes
Westbound Traffic:  Remain on N22 and take the R-584 at Hartnetts Cross.  At Toons Bridge take the R-587 through Kilmichael and onto Glaun.  At Glaun follow the R-585 east to Beal na Blath. 

The stated diversion route is applicable in reverse when travelling in the opposite direction.

Local access will be maintained throughout the duration of the Road Closure. 

Objections to this proposed temporary road closure should be made in writing, to the undersigned, quoting Ref: TRC-123-2021, not later than 5.00pm on Friday 8th October 2021.  Telephone contact details should be included in the objection.
