Temporary Closing of Public Roads
Pursuant to Section 75 of the Roads Act 1993, & Article 12 of the Roads Regulations 1994, notice is hereby given that Cork County Council proposes to temporarily close the following roads for the period and reason specified below:
Roads Subject of Proposed Closure
R880 (Part) Pearse Street, Clonakilty, Co. Cork - from its junction with L-4039-0 at Rossa Street (Ashe Street) to its junction with L-4040-1 at Bridge Street (Oliver Plunkett Street).
L-4039-0 Rossa Street/Connolly Street, Clonakilty, Co. Cork - from its junction with R880 Pearse Street to its junction with N71 Casement Street.
Period of Proposed Closure
From 07.00hrs to 20.00hrs on Saturday 1st July 2023 (Daily Closure).
Reason for Proposed Closure
To facilitate Clonakilty Old Time Fair.
Alternative Routes
Ashe Street to Oliver Plunket Street via L-4031-0 McCurtain Hill, L-4037-0 Old Chapel Lane and L-4040-0 Patrick Street.
Local Access will not be maintained throughout the duration of the closure.

LP-1206 Ballyclough to Longueville Road, Co. Cork.
Period of Proposed Closure
From 08:00hrs on Monday 3rd July 2023 to 18:00hrs on Sunday the 23rd July 2023 (24hr Closure).
Reason for Proposed Closure
To facilitate Road Resurfacing.
Alternative Routes
Coming from Mallow travelling on the N72 continue to the Pallas Junction. Turn right before Lombardstown Cross onto the LP-1201 and continue to Blossomfort Cross and then turn right for Ballyclough Village.
The stated diversion route is applicable in reverse when travelling in the opposite direction.
Local access will be maintained throughout the duration of the Road Closure.

Alternative Routes
Traffic to stay on the N20.
The stated diversion route is applicable in reverse when travelling in the opposite direction.

Period of Proposed Closure
From 08:00hrs on Monday 26th June, 2023 to 17:00hrs on Friday 30th June, 2023 (24hr Closure).
Reason for Proposed Closure
To facilitate the Construction of a Cattle Underpass, Effluent Holding Tank and all Associated Works.
Alternative Routes
Travelling through Ladysbridge from Castlemartyr, continue through the village along the road to Garryvoe (R632) until you come to a crossroads where you take the road to the right (L3818). Continue along this road until you come to L7884 on the right, which leads back onto the closed road L3817. This route is applicable in reverse.
Local Access will be maintained throughout the duration of the closure.

R585 Gloun (Glan), Dunmanway, Co. Cork - from its junction with the R587 at Gloun (Glan) for a distance of 3450m to the East in the townlands Glan and Lisheenleigh, Shanacashel, Mallow (Coppeen), Slieveowen and Moneygaff West.
Period of Proposed Closure
From 09:30hrs on Monday 26th June 2023 to 17:00hrs on Friday 21st July 2023 (24hr Closure).
Reason for Proposed Closure
To facilitate Culvert Replacement and Road Restoration Improvement Works.
Alternative Routes
Traffic traveling on the R587 as far Gloun (Glan) turn right along the R585/587 to Shanlaragh and on to Dunmanway town. In Dunmanway, turn left onto the R586 to Enniskean Village. In Enniskean Village turn left onto the R588 to Coppeen Village.
Local Access will be maintained throughout the duration of the closure.

Period of Proposed Closure
From 08:00hrs to 18:00hrs (Daily Closure) on Monday 3rd July 2023 to Monday 24th July 2023.
Reason for Proposed Closure
To facilitate road improvement works.
Alternative Routes
Traffic travelling along the L-6797-0 towards Vicarstown Cross Roads should turn left at Matehy and head North along the L-6798-0 to Fox’s Bridge. Traffic should then turn right onto the Shournagh Line L-2764 and follow the road until Shournagh Cross Roads in Tower. There, vehicles should turn right onto the R617 and follow the road until it meets the R579 at Ballyandreen. Turn right onto the R579 and continue along the road. After the Wayside Inn take the next right at Cloghroe Cross Roads and continue along the L-2763-13 until Vicarstown 4 Roads South.
The stated diversion route is applicable in reverse when travelling in the opposite direction.
Local access will be maintained throughout the duration of the Road Closure.
