DEVELOPMENT UNDER SECTION 179 OF THE PLANNING AND DEVELOPMENT ACT, 2000 AND NOTICE PURSUANT TO THE REQUIREMENTS OF PART 8, ARTICLE 81 & ARTICLE 120(3) OF THE PLANNING AND DEVELOPMENT REGULATIONS, 2001 AS AMENDED.

Notice is hereby given that Cork County Council proposes to carry out the following development:

Extension and Alterations to Skibbereen Town Hall

Location:
The proposed development will be carried out on lands in North Street.
In the Townlands of Gortnaclohy.

Nature and Extent of Proposed Development:
The proposed development comprises the following infrastructure projects or elements:

  • Extension and alterations to Skibbereen Town Hall, North Street, Gortnaclohy, Skibbereen. The extension is to comprise a glass fronted, flat-roofed structure on the south side of the building, facing on to The Square, containing a foyer and an accessible W.C. The alterations are to comprise a change of layout to the existing ground floor W.C. area to create new male and female W.C.’s and a ramped access connecting the new extension to the existing building.
  • The above property is a protected structure recorded in the 2009 – 2015 Skibbereen Town Development Plan (ref: 049 North Street ‘The Town Hall’)

These documents are available for inspection from January 10th, 2019 up to and including February 8th, 2019.

Submissions and observations with respect to the proposed development may be made on or before February 22nd, 2019 as follows:

  1. Online on Cork County Council’s website at www.yourcouncil.ie or
  2.  In writing and clearly marked ‘Skibbereen Town Hall’ to Municipal District Officer, Cork County Council, 7 Kent Street, Clonakilty, Co Cork, P85 HX67.

The closing date for submissions is February 22nd, 2019.
