Sightings of Portuguese Man O War jellyfish on Long Stand Beach and Ballycusheen - Ardfield

Portuguese Man O’ War jellyfish have been spotted at Long Strand beach and at Ballycusheen, Ardfield in recent days.  These jellfish can inflict severe stings & therefore contact should be avoided.  Warning notices alerting the public to avoid contact with  these jellyfish have been placed at the above mentioned beach.  General information on jellyyfish stings can be obtained at  www.iws.ie.
