Small Things Like These

Cork County Council Arts Office’s LHQ Gallery are accepting submissions for an open call winter show. The group exhibition is titled Small Things Like These after Claire Keegan’s novel of the same name.

New Homes at St. Michaels Residential and Community Project in Bandon

A contract has been signed by Bandon Geriatric and Community Council (BGCC) with Blueprint Homes Ltd. for the construction of six residential units for older people at Weir Street, Bandon.  The project is funded by the Department of Housing, Local Government and Heritage under the Capital Assistance scheme (CAS), which is administered by Cork County Council. 

The EPA and Cork County Council’s Library and Arts Service have launched a library loan scheme of digital radon monitors and is calling on householders in County Cork to take the first step to protect themselves and their families from radon, a cancer-causing radioactive gas. Many  areas in County Cork are at high risk - with one in five homes in those areas likely to have high levels of radon.
