Cork County Council Recognises Community Effort in the Fight Against Litter 

Cork County Council has recognised the ongoing work of community and voluntary groups in villages across the county in the fight against litter. As part of the Council’s Anti-Litter Challenge 2023, twenty-one villages have been presented with certificates for their remarkable success in managing litter in their localities.

Irish Road Bowling Art Exhibit to Open at Macroom Town Hall

Cork County Council joins artist James L Hayes in inviting the public to experience his latest exhibition ‘The Score’, a captivating exploration of the traditional Irish sport of road bowling. This unique contemporary art showcase, presented in collaboration with members and players from Ból Chumann na hÉireann, The Irish Road Bowling Association, will open its doors to the public at 7pm on Saturday, July 8th in Macroom Town Hall.

Cork County Council Unveils New Year-round Outdoor Dining Facilities for Bantry

Cork County Council has announced the successful completion of new European-style permanent outdoor dining facilities in Bantry town centre. The facilities, funded by Fáilte Ireland under the ‘Local Authority Weatherproofing and Outdoor Dining Infrastructure’ scheme, will greatly enhance the dining experience for residents and visitors alike.
