Bandon Businesses Urged to Apply for Funding to Enhance Town

Cork County Council has been awarded €100,000 to make Bandon a more vibrant and colourful town. The local authority is now seeking applications from the owners of commercial, residential and unoccupied buildings in the town.

Culture Night across Cork County, One Night For All - Oíche Dár Saol

Culture Night nationally and across Cork County is on Friday 23rd of September, with over 200 family friendly free events throughout Baile Mhúirne, Bandon, Carrigaline, Charleville, Clonakilty, Cobh, Fermoy, Kinsale, Macroom, Mallow, Midleton, Mitchelstown, Passage West, Skibbereen, Watergrasshill, Youghal and the surrounding towns and villages.

CORK’S ‘ONE COUNTY, ONE BOOK’ CHOSEN FOR 2022

An initiative to introduce young people in County Cork to Irish authors has returned for the second year in a row. One County, One Book is a programme by Cork County Council Library and Arts Service and is supported by Creative Ireland. The title for 2022 is ‘Not My Problem’ by Ciara Smyth.

Do Not Consume Notice issued for Whiddy Island Public Water Supply

Following consultation with the Health Service Executive, Irish Water, working in partnership with Cork County Council, has issued a Do Not Consume Notice for consumers on the Whiddy Island Public Water Supply. The notice was issued due to low water levels at raw water extraction point and high levels of colour and turbidity in the treated water causing the drinking water quality entering the Whiddy Island public water supply to be affected.
