Oysterhaven Beach
Oysterhaven Beach is located in Ballinaclashet Creek approximately 6 km east of Kinsale, & 3.3 km south west of Nohaval, in Co. Cork.  Oysterhaven Beach is a west facing sandy/shingle beach. The beach is located within Oysterhaven Bay which is a sheltered south facing inlet.   The beach is flanked at both sides by low rocky cliffs.

Garrylucas

Status of bathing water: Blue Flag 2017

Garrylucas is a sandy beach with sand dunes in part.  It is located beside the R604 road and adjacent to Kilcolman Marsh and the Old Head of Kinsale and within a short distance of Ballinspittle by car.  Public parking and toilets are provided adjacent to the beach and lifeguards are on duty during the summer season.  Access to the beach by ramps and steps.

Garretstown

Status of bathing water: Blue Flag 2017

Garretstown is a sandy beach. It is located on the R604 and adjacent to Kilcolman Marsh and The Old Head of Kinsale and within a short distance of Ballinspittle village by car. Public car parking, toilet facilities and lifebuoys are provided at the beach. Life guards are on duty during the bathing season. Access to the beach by ramps and steps. Wheelchair access is provided.

Fountainstown

Status of bathing water: Green Coast 2017

Fountainstown beach is located on the South Cork coast, west of the entrance to Cork Harbour and on the northern side of Ringabella Bay. Fountainstown is a traditional seaside resort, some 15km from Cork City. There are actually two beach areas at Fountainstown.

Rocky Bay

Bathing Water Status: Green Coast 2017

Rocky Bay is approximately 300m wide from end to end, located near Minane Bridge, Cork. It is an open beach facing South-South East. The sandy beach area makes this location a popular amenity. Access is via a narrow entrance from a narrow local road. The area is very popular all year round but in particular during the summer season. Parking is very limited so on warm days in the summer the area can get quite congested.

Inch Strand is a popular local sandy beach bordered by two streams situated about 9 miles south of Midleton. Its closest villages are Gyleen, Whitegate and Aghada, all within 4 miles of the beach. It lies at the start of Power Head and is surrounded by cliffs, rock pools and farmland. There are car parks on each side of the strand.

Greenlands (known locally)/Ring Strand is a quiet but popular local beach situated about 2 miles from the nearest village of Ballymacoda in East Cork, and looks out onto Ballymacoda Bay.

Garryvoe

Status of bathing water: Identified Bathing Water 2017

Garryvoe is a mixed pebble beach located in the village of Garryvoe.  The most direct way to approach it is by car is to leave the N25 at Castlemartyr village and follow the R632 to Garryvoe.  Public parking and toilets are provided adjacent to the beach and a lifeguard station is also in place.  Wheelchair access is provided.
