Temporary Closing of Public Roads

ROADS ACT, 1993
TEMPORARY CLOSING OF PUBLIC ROADS

Pursuant to Section 75 of the Roads Act 1993, & Article 12 of the Roads Regulations 1994, notice is hereby given that Cork County Council proposes to temporarily close the following road for the period and reason specified below:

Road Subject of Proposed Closure

L-6757, Kilmartin Upper, Donoughmore, Co. Cork.

Period of Proposed Closure 

From 08:00hrs on Monday 24th June 2024 to 17:00hrs on Friday 28th June2024 (24hr Closure).

Reason for Proposed Closure

To facilitate the Construction of a Cattle Underpass.

Alternative Routes

Traffic traveling South East on the R579 to Stuake should continue past the junction with the L-6757 and stay on the regional road until they reach the junction with L-2759. At the junction traffic should turn left onto L-2759 and follow the road to Stuake. 

The stated diversion route is applicable in reverse when travelling in the opposite direction.

Local Access will be maintained throughout the duration of the closure.

Objections

Objections to this proposed temporary road closure should be made in writing, to the undersigned, quoting Ref: TRC-48-2024, not later than 5pm on Wednesday 8th May 2024.  Telephone contact details should be included in the objection.
